Here is Funeral Arranger Helen McCluskey handing over a cheque for £300 to the Waves Group on behalf of Slaithwaite Funeral Services. Waves offer entrepreneurial, social and life skill based experiences to adults with learning disabilities in West Yorkshire.
Helen said: “I chose waves because it’s a local charity based in the village. They do most of the fundraising themselves to keep the service going and have done a very good job. They have gardens at the back in which they grow flowers and plants. They make hanging baskets that are sold to the public with all the money going back into the funds. With the £300 we donated they want to purchase a trampoline for the service users to enjoy.”
